We would like to share some important news about the acquisition of the Portuguese citizenship and passport.
Indeed, the Portuguese Parliament recently approved a few proposed changes to improve the country's immigration policy, one of which would speed up the procedure for obtaining the citizenship and passport.
Currently, it is only possible to apply for Portuguese citizenship 5 years after receiving the residency.
With the change proposed by the Parliament, these 5 years could begin as soon as your file for the Portuguese residency is submitted.
