Due Diligence Trip to Portugal

After completing a very successful due diligence trip to Portugal for the Golden Visa Program, we would like to share with you some photos and a summary of TIMC's various meetings.

This Program is one of the most popular in Europe, offering a gateway to the Schengen Area for the whole family, increased freedom of movement and financial security. After 5 years, you will be allowed to apply for the Portuguese citizenship and passport.

During our stay, we had the opportunity to visit some of the properties approved for the Golden Visa Program, amongst which the Real Convento das Servas resort. The project consists of a complete rehabilitation of a historic property, and transforming it into a 5-star boutique hotel, comprising of 55 suites and 45 villas with swimming pools, restaurant, bar, and indoor and outdoor event space.

Located in the town of Borba and built on the 15^th century hermitage, the Convento das Servas is a cornerstone of the past that has earned this region its place in history.

Royal Sao Paulo by Investaureum Group

As part of our due diligence tour, we also stopped by the Royal Sao Paulo resort site. Located in the small town of Vila Viçosa, this project will transform a historic 16^th century monastery into a luxury resort, blending the aesthetics of antiquity and Renaissance influence, with a touch of contemporary sophistication.

Four Points by Sheraton Sesimbra, by IR Group

Another real estate due diligence stop was the Four Points by Sheraton resort located in the small town of Sesimbra, near the beach and the mountains. Adjacent to the resort, the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, a fantastic green lung, offers some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the Lisbon area and is 15 minutes from the Sesimbra Ocean.

This luxury resort has a total of 207 units in four interconnected buildings.

Lagos Beach Hotel & Spa by IR Group

We completed our real estate due diligence tour with the promising Lagos Beach Hotel & Spa project, located in the Algarve region, opposite to the Dona Ana beach, voted "best Portuguese beach" by Tripadvisor. The safe city of Lagos has a charming historic centre, just a few minutes away from the hotel. Interestingly, Lagos County has adopted the Cittaslow trend, which promotes a balanced lifestyle.

Banking Partners

Meeting with our partners is always an important part of our due diligence trips and we made sure to meet with our contacts at the bank who facilitate our clients' account opening process. We discussed several topics including the improvement and streamlining of banking procedures.

Law Firm

Another one of our visits was at the law firm TIMC partner with, and who is involved in our clients' applications. Together we ensured that the process of handling their legal documents continues to be as smooth as possible, every steps of the way.
